This is visvim’s version of the classic canvas low-top, made with the label’s usual attention to every detail. The upper is Japanese canvas finished with visvim’s original taping, and the inside is lined in leather. Underneath, a cork insole and cork midsole give a natural, cushioned feel, and a Vibram outsole provides grip and wear. Each pair is handmade. In black, it looks like a familiar sneaker but is built far more carefully than one, and it gets better as it wears in.
Designer Hiroki Nakamura founded visvim in 2000, drawing on old-world craftsmanship, Japanese design and vintage Americana.
