PORTER was created in 1962 by Japanese craftsman Kichizo Yoshida. Kichizo trained for 17 years as a craftsman in Ueno before launching PORTER. Today, each product made by Japans best craftsmen is precise. Craftsmen spend years preparing to create a bag tailored to its owners, honoring the importance of Japan Made. PORTER believes that every product holds the craftsmens heart and soul into every stitch. Each piece is handled carefully throughout production – from choosing the right material to the proper labels – each bag is curated carefully with the highest quality in mind.
