Birkenstock 1774

x Thibo Denis - Uerzell Suede - Wine - Regular

A cross between a sneaker and a clog, designed by Thibo Denis for Birkenstock 1774. The Uerzell has the laced front of a sneaker and the open back of a clog, so it slips on easily. The upper is soft suede in a deep wine red, and it sits on a visible cork-blend midsole that clearly shows its Birkenstock roots. Inside is the removable Blue Footbed, Birkenstock’s anatomically shaped insole, which gives you the support of the classic footbed in a much more design-led shape. Denis is the design director for men’s ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories at Louis Vuitton, and the Uerzell was the first design in Ensemble 1774, the label’s designer collaboration series. It’s a statement shoe that is still easy to wear.
